Having recently relocated to Denmark to persue personal goals and spend time with his once distant family. Bent is now looking to extend his design experience and is open to Danish employment.
Bent is also building his design portfolio working with like-minded designers on Australian based and International projects whilst based in Denmark.
As a child Bent spent his evenings building huge lego environments in the attic of his family home.
15 years later, he finds himself doing the same thing, on a much larger scale. Bent’s unique ability to visualise space and design highly functional human environments has made him a sought after resource in the Australian design industry.
Whilst studying Architectural Technology at Sydney Institute of Technology Ultimo (TAFE), Bent was scouted by Design and Architectural hotshop - Villa+Villa, where he worked for over 5 years.
Becoming increasingly fascinated with Interior Design projects, he went on to study Interior Design with a sub-major in furniture design at University of Technology Sydney where he took top honours.
Bent then went onto work as an interior designer at Design Clarity, working on retail interiors and Retail Design Management.
Following Design Clarity, he then moved to Brandsinspace, a subsidiary company of M&C Saatchi Sydney. There he worked with the retail strategy team to develop conceptual interior spaces for both local and international brands.
After two years working for a company controlled by a multinational ad agency - Bent moved back to a boutique design studio - The Uncarved Block.
While there he also took up a part-time contract with the Univiersity of Technology as an acedemic staff member. He was responible for a second year course teaching 2D presentation and rendering techinques using adobe illustrator.
Because working with two companies at the same time wasn't enough, durinng the later months of 2011 Bent and three fellow designers created a self funded art and design gallery on Sydney's Oxford St called He Made She Made.
Bent’s artistic vision is all about better serving spaces. The primary goal in all his work is human engagement, but his work always serves a functional purpose.
